Important Points – Please Read Before Scheduling to See me!

Diagnostics
My practice is not yet set up for diagnostics, which include blood work, urine studies, radiographic imaging, ultrasound, and CT. But I am adding diagnostic components to my future practice – so keep a lookout!

Medications
I’m able to prescribe most medications but there are a few important exceptions:
1) Controlled Substances – I cannot prescribe controlled substances such as benzodiazepines (e.g. Xanax or Ativan) and opioids (e.g. Norco).
2) Sleeping medications for insomnia such as Ambien or Trazodone. We can talk about sleep hygiene and discuss how to use over the counter sleeping medications..
3) Certain Psychiatric medications – I generally will not initiate certain psychiatric medications such as “mood stabilizers” like lithium or Depakote, antipsychotics such as Abilify, or tricyclic antidepressants such as Amitriptyline. If you are currently taking these medications and simply need a refill, you must provide proof of your previous prescription before I refill your prescription.
4) Neuropathic Pain Medications such as gabapentin; if you are currently taking these medications and simply need a refill, you must provide proof of your previous prescription before I refill your prescription
